Entrance Exam Description

During the selection process we examine the competency of the applicant in two ways:
The faculty decides about the eligibility of the applicant by examining the documents of previous studies (degree, subject, results). This is followed by an entrance exams that evaluate the level of study-language and basic subjects depends on speciality.
The exams can be conducted online. In order to validate the entrant’s person, exams taken remotely are recorded on video, as is the person verification process. The recording is archived for at least five years on University’s grounds and the link to that recording is available in the united base of Ministry of Education of Ukraine.

Program Structure

Semester 1 – Building Foundations
This semester gives you the foundation you need to confidently work in any clinical lab.
- Clinical Laboratory Methods – Learn basic lab techniques like blood tests, urine analysis, and microbiology methods.
- Biochemistry & Molecular Biology – Understand the chemical and molecular processes in the human body.
- Laboratory Equipment & Safety – Get familiar with lab instruments and how to work safely.
- Research Methods in Laboratory Diagnostics – Learn how to plan and conduct experiments.

Semester 2 – Applied Practice
You start applying what you learned in real-life scenarios, gaining hands-on experience.
- Hematology and Immunology – Study blood, immune system tests, and how to detect diseases.
- Microbiology & Parasitology – Identify bacteria, viruses, and parasites in samples.
- Clinical Chemistry – Analyze chemical substances in the body to diagnose conditions.
- Laboratory Quality Management – Learn how to ensure tests are accurate and reliable.
- Friendly tip: You start applying what you learned in real-life scenarios, gaining hands-on experience.

Semester 3 – Specialization & Thesis
This semester prepares you for professional work and lets you explore your favorite area of lab diagnostics.
- Molecular Diagnostics & Genetics – Advanced testing methods including PCR and DNA analysis.
- Clinical Laboratory Internship – Work in real hospitals or diagnostic labs under supervision.
- Elective Subjects – Choose areas of interest, such as toxicology, microbiological diagnostics, or public health.
- Master’s Thesis / Research Project – Conduct a research project and present your results.

This program trains you to become a highly skilled laboratory professional, combining advanced scientific knowledge, practical lab skills, and research experience. You’ll learn how to perform complex laboratory tests, analyze samples, and contribute directly to patient care and medical research.
