| Entry qualification | The certificate of Completed Secondary Education is required. Compulsory entrance exam. The entry qualification documents are accepted in English (except for documents issued in Ukraine upon completion of studies at local educational institutions) . In most cases you can request a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original & legalized (according to the international agreements) entry qualification documents along with you when you finally enter the university. |

Entrance Exam Description
During the selection process we examine the competency of the applicant in two ways:
The faculty decides about the eligibility of the applicant by examining the documents of previous studies (degree, subject, results). This is followed by an entrance exams that evaluate the level of study-language and basic subjects depends on speciality.
The exams can be conducted online. In order to validate the entrant’s person, exams taken remotely are recorded on video, as is the person verification process. The recording is archived for at least five years on University’s grounds and the link to that recording is available in the united base of Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
Program Structure
Year 1 – Foundations of Journalism
Introduction to Journalism, Media History, Basics of Political Science and Sociology, Foreign / Ukrainian Language, Information Technologies in Media, Academic Writing & Communication Skills, Fundamentals of Media Law and Ethics.
Students explore the basics of journalism, media history, political science, sociology, languages, IT skills, and media law and ethics.
Year 2 – Core Journalism Skills
News Writing and Reporting, Multimedia Journalism (Text, Audio, Video), Journalism Genres and Styles, Media Economics and Management, Media Ethics and Legal Frameworks, Practical Training I, Research Methods for Media.
The curriculum covers news writing, reporting, multimedia journalism, media management, ethics, and practical projects.
Year 3 – Advanced Journalism & Media Production
Investigative Journalism, Broadcast Journalism (Radio and TV), Digital Journalism and Social Media, Photojournalism and Video Editing, Public Relations and Media Communication, Political and Economic Journalism, Practical Training II / Internship.
Learners focus on investigative journalism, broadcast and digital media, photo and video production, PR, and specialized reporting, including internships.
Year 4 – Specialization & Research
Advanced Multimedia Production, Media Analytics and Audience Studies, Journalism Project Management, Specialized Journalism Topics (Electives: Investigative, Political, Digital Media), Pre-Diploma Practice / Internship, Bachelor’s Thesis / Research Project.
Students deepen expertise in advanced multimedia production, media analytics, project management, and complete pre-diploma practice and a Bachelor’s thesis project.
Overview
The Journalism Bachelor’s program trains students to research, produce, and communicate information across various media platforms. Students learn to find, verify, and analyze news, create multimedia stories (text, video, audio), write scripts, and design journalistic content for digital and traditional media. The curriculum includes media economics, journalistic genres, voice training, speechwriting, and ethics.
