| Entry qualification | The Bachelor's degree diploma is required. Compulsory entrance exam. The entry qualification documents are accepted in English (except for documents issued in Ukraine upon completion of studies at local educational institutions) . In most cases you can request a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original & legalized (according to the international agreements) entry qualification documents along with you when you finally enter the university. |

Entrance Exam Description
During the selection process we examine the competency of the applicant in two ways:
The faculty decides about the eligibility of the applicant by examining the documents of previous studies (degree, subject, results). This is followed by an entrance exams that evaluate the level of study-language and basic subjects depends on speciality.
The exams can be conducted online. In order to validate the entrant’s person, exams taken remotely are recorded on video, as is the person verification process. The recording is archived for at least five years on University’s grounds and the link to that recording is available in the united base of Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
Program Structure
Semester 1 – Foundations & Core Tourism Knowledge
- Theory of Tourism & Tourism as a Social Phenomenon — understanding what tourism is, its history, economics, culture, and role in society.
- Tourism Market & Tourism Business Economics — how the tourism market works, supply & demand, economics of tourism enterprises, business models in tourism.
- Tourism Services & Quality Management in Tourism — what makes good tourist services, standards of service quality, hotel/transport/excursion service management.
- Tourism Planning & Destination Management — basics of planning tourism services, designing tourist products, organizing trips, tours, hospitality services.
Semester 2 – Applied Tourism, Management & International / Sustainable Focus
- International Tourism Business & Cross‑border Tourism — managing tours and services for international clients, understanding global tourism flows, compliance, international cooperation.
- Tourism Product Design & Innovation in Tourism — creating modern tourism services, combining recreation, culture, hospitality, logistics; innovation and sustainable tourism development.
- Logistics, Transport & Services Integration in Tourism — managing transport, accommodation, services for tourists — logistic side of tourism, travel coordination, multimodal services (especially relevant given NAU’s transport/aviation background).
- Marketing, Public Relations & Communication in Tourism — promoting tourism products, managing tourist information, communication skills, attracting clients, designing tourism campaigns.
Semester 3 – Specialization, Projects & Master’s Thesis / Final Work
- Tourism Policy, Regional Development & Tourism Planning — working on regional tourism development projects, strategic planning, sustainability, public‑private partnership in tourism.
- Research Methods, Analysis & Tourism Studies Research — learning how to research tourism trends, analyze data, prepare reports, evaluate projects — preparing for thesis or professional research work.
- Practical Training / Internship / Project Work — hands‑on or project‑based work: designing or managing a tourism business/service; possibly collaboration with tourism companies, agencies, hospitality or transport firms.
- Master’s Thesis / Final Project — independent work: e.g. design of a tourism product or service; analysis of tourism market / destination; sustainable tourism plan; tourism business plan or research.
Overview
The program gives you advanced knowledge and skills in tourism: from understanding tourism as a social and economic phenomenon, to designing tourist services, managing tourism business, and developing tourism products and destinations. The programme also emphasises modern tourism challenges: sustainability, socially responsible tourism, tourism market analysis, international tourism business, logistics, and quality of tourist services. You learn both theory (economics, management, geography, culture, tourism studies) and practice (organizing tours, tourism business, service quality, market analysis, project management).
Career Opportunities
With a master’s in Tourism science you could work as a tourism manager, tour operator, travel agency or tour‑operator specialist, tourism product developer, quality‑manager for tourism services, or tourism business consultant. You might also work in regional tourism development, destination management, marketing for tourism, hotel/transport/recreation services, or in governmental / public tourism‑planning bodies. Because the programme emphasizes international tourism, sustainability, and research competencies, there’s also possibility to work in international tourism business, cross‑border cultural/tourism projects, or continue into research/PhD in tourism and recreation.
