Entrance Exam Description

During the selection process we examine the competency of the applicant in two ways:
The faculty decides about the eligibility of the applicant by examining the documents of previous studies (degree, subject, results). This is followed by an entrance exams that evaluate the level of study-language and basic subjects depends on speciality.
The exams can be conducted online. In order to validate the entrant’s person, exams taken remotely are recorded on video, as is the person verification process. The recording is archived for at least five years on University’s grounds and the link to that recording is available in the united base of Ministry of Education of Ukraine.

Program Structure

Year 1 – Scientific Foundations
Building essential science knowledge for pharmaceutical technologies.
- Semester 1- Students study General Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Medical Terminology to build a strong scientific base. Introduction to Pharmacy explains how the pharmaceutical industry works and the role of industrial pharmacists.
- Semester 2- Organic Chemistry and Physics help students understand the physical and chemical properties of medicines. Anatomy and Physiology give basic knowledge of the human body, while Pharmaceutical Ethics introduces professional standards.

Year 2 – Core Pharmaceutical Sciences
Understanding drug substances and laboratory techniques.
- Semester 3- Students learn Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Pharmaceutical Botany. These subjects explain how substances are analyzed, controlled, and sourced for medicine production.
- Semester 4- Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, and Pathophysiology help students understand drug substances and their use. Laboratory practice develops practical skills needed for industrial environments.

Year 3 – Pharmaceutical Technologies
Production technologies and quality systems.
- Semester 5- Pharmaceutical Technology teaches how tablets, capsules, injections, and other dosage forms are produced. Pharmaceutics and Physical Chemistry explain formulation and stability of medicines.
- Semester 6 - Industrial Technology of Medicines focuses on large-scale manufacturing processes. Quality Control and Standardization ensure students understand safety, quality, and international pharmaceutical standards.

Year 4 – Industrial Practice & Management
Industrial operations, regulation, and management.
- Semester 7 - Students study Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Equipment, and Automation of Production. Management and Marketing in Pharmacy introduce business and production planning skills.
- Semester 8 - Regulatory Affairs explains drug registration and documentation. Industrial Practice allows students to apply their knowledge in real or simulated production environments.

Year 5 – Specialization & Graduation
Becoming a career-ready pharmaceutical technologist.
- Semester 9 - Advanced Pharmaceutical Technologies, Innovation in Drug Development, and elective subjects allow students to specialize. Pre-diploma practice strengthens professional confidence.
- Semester 10 - Students complete a final internship, pass state examinations, and defend their graduation thesis.

Overview

The program is ideal for international students who want to work in the pharmaceutical industry. Students learn how medicines are developed, manufactured, and tested on an industrial scale. The program combines strong scientific knowledge with practical laboratory training and modern pharmaceutical technologies.
