| Entry qualification | The Bachelor's degree diploma is required. Compulsory entrance exam. The entry qualification documents are accepted in English (except for documents issued in Ukraine upon completion of studies at local educational institutions) . In most cases you can request a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original & legalized (according to the international agreements) entry qualification documents along with you when you finally enter the university. |

Entrance Exam Description
During the selection process we examine the competency of the applicant in two ways:
The faculty decides about the eligibility of the applicant by examining the documents of previous studies (degree, subject, results). This is followed by an entrance exams that evaluate the level of study-language and basic subjects depends on speciality.
The exams can be conducted online. In order to validate the entrant’s person, exams taken remotely are recorded on video, as is the person verification process. The recording is archived for at least five years on University’s grounds and the link to that recording is available in the united base of Ministry of Education of Ukraine.

Semester 1 – Foundations of Journalism
- Introduction to Journalism – principles, ethics, and history of journalism.
- News Writing and Reporting – techniques for accurate and engaging reporting.
- Media and Society – understanding media’s role in society and public opinion.
- Research Methods & Academic Writing – tools for media research and thesis preparation.
- Elective 1 – options such as Digital Media, Photojournalism, or Multimedia Production.
This semester provides a solid foundation in journalism theory, ethics, and reporting skills.
Semester 2 – Advanced Journalism and Practical Skills
- Investigative Journalism – techniques for in-depth reporting and fact-checking.
- Multimedia Storytelling – producing content across video, audio, and digital platforms.
- Digital Media and Social Networks – managing content for online audiences and social platforms.
- Media Law and Ethics – understanding legal frameworks and ethical considerations in journalism.
- Elective 2 – options such as Broadcast Journalism, PR and Communications, or Global Media Trends.
Students apply theory in practice, producing content for different media and learning to navigate the digital media landscape.
Semester 3 – Capstone and Master Thesis
- Journalism Project / Media Simulation – hands-on projects simulating newsroom or media campaigns.
- Strategic Communication and Media Management – planning, managing, and analyzing media projects.
- Emerging Trends in Journalism – exploring new media technologies, digital journalism, and audience engagement.
- Master Thesis / Applied Research Project – research or practical project demonstrating mastery in journalism.
This semester allows students to integrate skills, work on real projects, and complete their thesis.
