Program Structure
Semester 1 – Foundation & Advanced Knowledge
Refresh and deepen core accounting and financial skills; begin advanced topics:
- Advanced accounting theory & enterprise financial accounting
- Fundamentals of auditing and accounting standards
- Taxation and tax accounting under national (and possibly international) frameworks
- Methodology of research / academic/business research methods — if you plan to write a thesis later
- Business foreign language (sometimes included) or professional English for accountants, to help you work in international contexts.
Think of this semester as “getting your toolkit sharpened” — you polish accounting basics, master tax and financial accounting rules, and start thinking like a real accountant or auditor, ready for complex tasks.
Semester 2 – Applied Accounting, Audit & Taxation Skills
Apply what you have learned to real business tasks; learn auditing, reporting, financial analysis:
- Audit methodology and organization of audits

- Tax accounting and tax compliance / corporate taxation mechanisms

This is the “hands-on, professional skills” semester — you simulate real-world accounting and auditing tasks, learn how businesses keep financial records, comply with tax laws, and prepare reports. You begin to see how theory works in “real life.”
Semester 3 – Specialization, Thesis / Final Project & Professional Preparation
Finalize your master’s through specialized courses or electives, and complete a capstone (thesis or project) — get ready for the job market. You are going to do:
- Specialized / elective courses (depending on your interests) — advanced taxation topics, corporate finance, financial analysis, audit consulting, etc.
- Business and tax consulting, financial control, risk assessment, auditing complex enterprises
- Preparation and writing of master’s thesis or final research/project work — integrating accounting, audit, taxation, and business analysis knowledge
- Skills for professional work — ethics, decision making, reporting, possibly soft-skills (communication, business English), preparing for auditor or accountant roles.
This is the “launch pad” — by the end, you wrap up your thesis or project, sharpen specialized skills, and get ready to step into the world as a well-rounded accounting/tax professional.
