Entrance Exam Description

During the selection process we examine the competency of the applicant in two ways:
The faculty decides about the eligibility of the applicant by examining the documents of previous studies (degree, subject, results). This is followed by an entrance exams that evaluate the level of study-language and basic subjects depends on speciality.
The exams can be conducted online. In order to validate the entrant’s person, exams taken remotely are recorded on video, as is the person verification process. The recording is archived for at least five years on University’s grounds and the link to that recording is available in the united base of Ministry of Education of Ukraine.

Program Structure

Semester 1 – Foundations of International Law
- Introduction to International Law – principles, history, and key legal concepts.
- Public International Law – legal relations between states and international organizations.
- Private International Law – cross-border contracts, trade, and legal disputes.
- Research Methods & Legal Writing – tools for analysis, drafting, and thesis preparation.
- Elective 1 – options such as Human Rights Law, International Trade Law, or Comparative Law.
This semester builds a strong foundation in legal principles, international frameworks, and research skills.

Semester 2 – Applied International Legal Skills
- International Organizations and Global Governance – legal aspects of the UN, WTO, and other bodies.
- International Human Rights Law – protection of rights across borders and in global institutions.
- Diplomatic Law and International Agreements – treaties, conventions, and legal diplomacy.
- Legal Practice and Case Studies – analyzing real-world legal cases and applying international law.
- Elective 2 – options such as Maritime Law, Environmental Law, or International Arbitration.
Students apply theory to practical legal problems and prepare for careers in diplomacy, legal practice, or international organizations.

Semester 3 – Capstone and Master Thesis
- International Legal Simulation / Applied Project – hands-on simulation of legal negotiations, treaties, or compliance projects.
- Emerging Trends in International Law – digital law, cyber law, trade regulations, and evolving legal norms.
- Strategic Legal Analysis – advanced skills in interpreting and applying international legal frameworks.
- Master Thesis / Applied Research Project – research or practical project demonstrating mastery in international law.
This semester integrates all learning, allowing students to apply their legal skills in real-world scenarios and complete their thesis.

Overview

The program trains students to understand and apply legal frameworks that govern relations between states, international organizations, and individuals across borders. Students learn public and private international law, treaty law, human rights, international trade law, and legal aspects of diplomacy. The program develops analytical, practical, and cross-cultural skills to handle complex international legal issues.

Career Opportunities

Graduates can work as international legal advisers, diplomats, policy analysts, human rights advocates, compliance specialists, or researchers in international law.
