Entrance Exam Description
During the selection process we examine the competency of the applicant in two ways:
The faculty decides about the eligibility of the applicant by examining the documents of previous studies (degree, subject, results). This is followed by an entrance exams that evaluate the level of study-language and basic subjects depends on speciality.
The exams can be conducted online. In order to validate the entrant’s person, exams taken remotely are recorded on video, as is the person verification process. The recording is archived for at least five years on University’s gounds and the link to that recording is available in the united base of Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
Program Structure
Semester 1 — Fundamentals & Core Technologies
- Fundamentals of Automated and Control Systems — you study how control and automation systems work: basic control theory, sensors/actuators, system architecture.
- Computer Systems & Embedded / Real-Time Control — you learn to work with microcontrollers, embedded hardware and real-time computing for control tasks.
- Computer Networks & Data Communication for Control — how computerized control systems communicate, exchange data, networked control, reliability & security.
- Mathematics & Systems Theory for Automation — strong math and modeling fundamentals to analyze and design dynamic and automated systems.
Semester 2 — Advanced Control, Integration & Specialized Systems
- Design of Computer-Integrated & Automated Systems — you learn to design complex systems combining hardware, software, sensors, control logic — for aviation, robotics, or industrial automation.
- Control Algorithms, Signal & Data Processing — designing algorithms for control, processing sensor data, decision-making, automation logic, and system response analysis.
- Safety, Reliability & Testing of Automated Systems — how to ensure that control systems are safe, reliable, tested and meet standards, especially important in aerospace or critical systems.
- Cybersecurity / Protection of Automated & Networked Systems — understanding how to protect automated systems from failures or unwanted access, particularly if networked or used in critical domains.
Semester 3 — Application, Research & Master’s Thesis / Project
- Applied Projects & System Implementation — you work on real or simulated engineering projects: building or simulating automated control systems (e.g. for aerospace, robotics, industrial automation).
- Research Methods & Engineering Project Planning — acquire skills to plan, research, document and manage complex engineering projects involving control/automation.
- Innovations & Emerging Automation Technologies — explore cutting-edge trends: robotics, UAV control systems, aerospace control, smart automation, IoT + control integration.
- Master’s Thesis (Final Project) — you develop a design, research or engineering project, demonstrating skills in system design, control, automation — readying you for real-world employment or further research.
Overview
The program teaches you how to design, build and manage modern automated and computerized control systems. You learn to integrate computer science, electronics, control theory, and automation — skills useful for aviation, aerospace, robotics, industrial automation, and many high-tech fields. The programme aims to give both deep theoretical understanding and practical engineering skills in complex control and automation systems.
Career Opportunities
After graduation you can work as a systems engineer, automation or control-systems engineer, designing and implementing automated systems for aviation, aerospace, industry, robotics or other sectors. You may join companies developing control systems for aircraft, UAVs, robotics, industrial production, automated production lines or smart systems. You could also work in research and development, system design, testing and maintenance of automated and computerized control systems. With this qualification, you’re prepared for innovation-oriented and technology-intensive jobs — inside Ukraine or internationally. Graduates may also continue to PhD or other advanced studies, or participate in research and high-tech projects.
